Santa Pictures
Thanksgiving Nashville
I took my first road trip to Nashville to celebrate Thanksgiving. The actual road trip went great. I do love to ride in my car seat. It just puts me to sleep. Mom and Dad packed the car to the roof. I guess I do require a few necessities, like my vibrating bouncer seat, which is my personal favorite.
I was able to meet my Great Grandmomma and Grandaddy, Uncle Dave, Great Nanny and many more relatives. I slept most of the time, but it was so cool getting to meet so many new people. I think my parents feel pretty confident traveling with me now.
Here are a few pictures of me with everyone. Enjoy:)

Week 1 is in the books
Well my first week at home is officially in the books. I really like my room, my bed and swing, and for the most part I just like to relax and take it easy. I sleep really well, and my mom and dad have both spent a night or two camped out in my room since they can't believe that I am such a good sleeper. They are such worriers! But I like them a lot and they seem to like me as well, so I guess we are all feeling pretty blessed!
The trip to the pediatrician was good as well. On Thursday it was time to head out to get my 1 week check up. I passed with flying colors, and weighed 5 lbs, 15 ounces. Doc said that he didn't need to see me for
another 3 weeks!
Other than that, I wanted to share my top 5 favorite things from my first week at home:
1) I like to sunbathe next to the window in the morning. The doc says that the sun will help to make me pretty!
2) I like to put my face in my parents' necks after some food. It makes them laugh!
3) I love my dad's swaddling ability! He is the master!
4) I like to be outside and go for walks. It is so nice this time of year (not that I know what the other times of the year are like just yet)
5) I like to meet all of the other kids dressed up for Halloween and hand out candy. Thanks to Lourdes for my pumpkin shirt - it was a real hit!
Well, that's all for now. Talk to you later...

I am finally here!
So now I guess it is officially time to make my debut to the blogging world. My mom and dad were nice enough to offer to put together this blog so that I can tell everyone all about me and what I am up to.
After much anticipation and prayer, I was born on Friday, October 24th, at 7:05 pm. My parents decided to name me Claire Grace Kopriva, and I think it fits pretty well. I weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs, 1 ounce and was 19 3/4 inches long. I have a head full of dark hair and everyone thinks that I look like my mom from the ankles up. I seem to have inherited my dad's legendary feet and toes - they are really something!
I was truly blessed to have such a wonderful team of nurses and doctors to take care of me and my mom. Although my parents were not expecting me for another week or so, the doctors decided that it would be better if I came a little earlier. Once I was born, I had to make a quick trip to the transitional nursery for a few hours to make sure that I was okay. I took down a big gulp of fluid during the delivery and was having a little difficulty clearing it out of my lungs. Since I was not able to cry very well right away, the nurses and doctors just wanted to keep a close eye on me for a little while. This certainly caused mom and dad to have a few restless hours of worry, but I was able to move into their room after about 3 hours or so. I hung out with them in their room the rest of the time in the hospital. Overall, we all had a great experience at the hospital, and we were able to head home Sunday afternoon.
I am a really easy going kind of girl. I don't really cry a whole lot and have made the first week really easy on my mom and dad. It has been really great to have all of this help from my grandparents. My mimi came for the first week and my nana j came for the second week - they are the best!
So that is all for now, but more will come for sure. Thanks for checking out my blog, and please let me know what you think. I am kinda new to this whole blogging thing, but I would love to hear what you all think.
