My First Birthday, Halloween and getting to meet my Great Granny

Wow, what a great few weeks. I had an awesome birthday. I had a sunflower birthday party. It was so much fun. I got to see all my family, plus several of my friends came. I got a cool playhouse and all kinds of cool presents. Mom and Dad can't believe I am already ONE!! They keep saying, "She is just growing up so fast." I don't really understand what that means, but ok.
My Nana made my Halloween costume this year. I was a very cute, girlie monkey, complete with faux eyelashes. We had a great Halloween. My friend Miley came to Trick-or-Treat with me. We had a great time. I still can't find my Halloween candy. I think my mom has eaten a lot of it.

I also got to travel up to Illinois to meet my Great Granny. It was an interesting plane ride as my mom and dad say. My ears hurt on the plane, so I was a bit unhappy. The flight attendants kept coming up to us asking if we needed anything. I just needed to be on the ground. We had a good flight back to ATL though. I slept the whole time. YEAH!! I love my Great Granny. She was really excited to me, plus I got to see my cousin Hudson too! Talk to you soon!!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

October has been a big month for me. I took my first steps on October 10th while watching the Tennessee Georgia football game. I just stood up and started walking. Mom and Dad were so proud. They gave me a big hug. The next day I walked 6 steps. Here is a picture of me at the Pumpkin Patch. We had lots of fun.

Summertime Fun!!

Hi Everyone! This summer has flown by! So, I went to kangazoom for the first time for my friend, Chance's birthday. It was loads of fun. Dad and I played the whole time. I was even able to go down a huge slide with Dad. It was a little scary. Mom and I also find time to dress alike. Thanks Mimi for the matching outfits. I also went to the beach again for Labor Day. I think I really like the sand now. Sometimes I like to eat it, but other than that, I had a great time!! Talk to you all soon.

Knox's 2nd Birthday

It was a great weekend full of fun times with my cousin Knox and my Aunt Mer Mer and Uncle Bill. We had a great time celebrating Knox's 2nd birthday and going to the aquarium. Everyone was able to come to Atlanta for a visit. It was the first time Mimi and Grandbunk and the whole family were able to stay with us.

Sometimes we even like to eat cookies off the floor. Who cares! I am now a big 9 month old. Mom says I am very busy. I don't really know what that means, but I love crawling all over the house and pulling up and walking around the coffee table. Well, I'll talk to you all soon.

First time at the Beach!

I had a great time at the beach over the Fourth of July. We all went down to Florida to visit with my NanaJ and GrandBob. Mom and Dad took me to the beach for a few minutes. I was a little unsure with the sand, but enjoyed watching the waves and being in the sun. Since we spoke last, I have started to crawl and have two teeth. They are very sharp teeth too! Can't wait to see everyone soon!

Father's Day/Mom's First Triathlon

Today was a big day. I was able to see my mom finish her first triathlon and celebrate Father's Day. So, I guess you can say, I had a very busy day. Mom and Dad got me up very early this morning to drive down to Callaway Gardens in Pine Lake, GA. Mom was pretty excited to finish the race and finish in pretty good time. She said she just wanted to finish the race, but she is a bit competitive. It was lots of fun! Dad and I watched from the sidelines. I loved hanging out with my dad today. I had to be extra special good, since it was Father's Day. I made my dad a really cool plate with my foot print on it for Father's Day. I also gave him my favorite picture of us framed. Mom gave dad a shadow box with all of his triathlon race numbers showcased. Dad really liked it. Well, I am very tired, so I'll talk to you soon:)

First Swim

I got to go swimming for the first time this weekend.  It was so much fun.  I love the water and really wanted to swim all by myself.  I think Mom might get me swimming lessons soon.  Dad and I had a blast at the pool.

Pudding Fun

So, at school we are talking about flowers and how they grow.  My teachers thought it would be fun to let us play in mud/pudding.  As you can see, I definitely enjoyed myself:)  Pudding is YUM!!

Mother's Day/Daddy's Birthday

We had a great day on Mother's Day!!  This year Mother's Day fell on Daddy's birthday!  I was very busy making everyone gifts!  We went to a park for a picnic and Dad was able to take a swim.  He is getting ready for his triathlon next weekend:)  Mom and I had fun watching the birds and ducks.  Happy Birthday Daddy!  Happy Mother's Day Mommy!!

I am Six Months Old

I am such a big girl, now that I am six months old!  So, I have started using a sippy cup!  Mom and Dad are pretty proud!  It's been a good month.    I eat all kinds of fruits and veggies!  I have also grown enough hair to wear a bow.  I talk all the time and think Mom and Dad are very funny!  They make all kinds of weird sounds that make me laugh.  Jack, my puppy dog is also very humorous.  Well, that's all for now!  Check y'all later:)

Easter Weekend

I had such a great Easter.  Mom, Dad and I went to Nashville.  I had so much fun going on my first Easter Egg Hunt.  I do love Easter Eggs.  Mimi and GrandBunk had fun watching me and Knox  find all the eggs.  Mom and Dad are really enjoying watching me get bigger every day.  They can not believe I am such a big girl and will be six months old next week.  Talk to you again soon.

Celebration of Baptism

Hi Everyone!!  I wanted to share the wonderful news that I was baptized on March 28th.  My mom and dad had a private baptism for me.  It was so wonderful.  I was able to share this holy experience with all my family.  My mom and dad were pretty proud too!

First Art Project

Hi Everybody!!  It's me, ClaireBear!!  I have been getting so big.  
Mom and Dad can not believe it!  So, let's see, I started eating some fruits and veggies, which are delicious!  I also really like school.  Mom seems to be more comfortable with me in school.  Maybe it's because she is right down the hall from me.  I have made all kinds of friends.  I love going on buggy rides and doing art projects.   My dad and I did my first homework project together.  I had to complete a two paragraph paper about Black History month in which I wrote about Tigar Woods.  Dad and I did all the research and we even found a great picture of Tigar to put on my paper.  I think my project was the best in the class!!  My dad is awesome!!  Well, that's all for now.  See you all soon!!

I can sit up all by myself

Hi Everyone!!  So, I guess you have heard the news that I can sit up.  This is very exciting.  I really like to be able to see everything.  Since I have turned four months old, I have started eating cereal and having my first fruits.  I'm such a big girl.  Mom and Dad like it too, since I am fully sleeping through the night (8 p.m. - 6 a.m.)!!  Well, that's all for now:)  Talk to you all again soon:)

Small Group Friends

Hudson and I had a great time at his 1st birthday party.  We can't wait until we get a little bit bigger so we can play.

Sorry it has been so long since I've talked to you all.  This has been a very busy month.  I've done some traveling, had my class picture taken, gone to my first birthday party and celebrated the life of my Great-Nanny.  For those of you who did not know, my Great Nanny went to be in heaven.  My Mom and I have been talking about her and looking at pictures of her for the past couple of weeks.  She went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2nd.  We all traveled to Knoxville to be with my GrandBunk and Mimi.   I was able to visit with my Great-Grandaddy and Granmomma too.  Here is a picture with my Great-Grandaddy. Well, just wanted to say Hi!!  My Mom wanted me to tell everyone she appreciates all your thoughts and prayers for my Great-Nanny.  I love this picture of Mom, Nanny and me.  Miss you!!

Memo to self, "Do not wear black and red to school."

So Daddy dressed me this morning for school.  What he did not think about was the fact that all of mommy's co-workers LOVE Georgia.  As you can see in my picture, they loved the fact I wore black and red and thought it would be funny to take my picture with UGA.  I just bit his ear!!  Take that UGA!!  I'm a VOL just like mommy and daddy!!  Now I just need to find an orange dress!!

I'm three months old!!

Hi!!  This has been a very busy week, since I started school on Monday.  Mom and Dad are doing well.  I think we are all trying to transition to a little bit earlier schedule.   Mom and Dad are pretty proud of me, since I decided to have an earlier bedtime.  I have been going to bed at 8:30 p.m. and not getting up until 4 a.m.  Yeah!!  You are getting a sneak preview of my dress I am wearing in my 3 month pictures.   My Mimi made it for me for Christmas.  Well, that's all for now.  Talk to you again soon.

First Transition Day of School at Bright Horizons

Today was my first transition day of school.  Mom brought me to her office to see my new classroom.  I stayed in my classroom for two hours today and enjoyed some sign language and meeting some new friends.  Here I am pictured with one of my teachers.  I think Mom was a little nervous bringing me to school, but I showed her that I'm a big girl.  She can come feed me and check on me anytime she wants, since she works right up the hall.

I love my playmat!!

I love my playmat!!  So, mom and I have been enjoying activity time.  One of my favorite activities is to play on my mat.  I love all the colors and fun sounds of the rainforest.  This morning mom noticed that I found my thumb.  She has a couple sonogram pictures of me sucking my thumb as well.  Hope you are all doing well.  Thanks Mimi for making my sweater.  I love it!!

Nashville Trip for New Years

We all took a trip to Nashville for New Years.  I am getting pretty good at these road trips.  I'm still sleeping most of the time, which makes it really easy on Mom and Dad.  Here are a few pictures of me with my family and friends.  Happy 2009!!

Dad got to see his good friend Chad.  I really like Chad and his little one Jones.  Can't wait to play with Jones soon.

I love my Great-Nanny.  Mimi, Grandbunk, Mom, Dad and I went to see her.  She was pretty excited to see me.
Mom always talks about her best friend Salli, so I was really excited to meet her and her new husband Phil.  I'm so glad Phil is home from Iraq!!  

Knox and I always have fun together.  He was so much fun to hang with over New Years.
